Can I use and article from a web page for my company’s intranet without written permission from the author?
December 20th, 2010 | by admin |I will most likely use health and well being articles for educational purposes. Do I need to get written permission from the website?
Since you don’t have the legal right to make a copy of the articles, you need the copyright owner’s permission – in writing. (The copyright owner may be the company, not the author.) The copyright law isn’t that complicated – read Section 106 http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap1.html#106

At the very least you should cite the author and the website. Your best bet is to in fact check with the author and insure that it is fine for internal communications only.
